Description

This is an index of over one million SAIL file names and DART attributes. The content of some of these files is available.

Filenames

By Programmer ID code: There are about two thousand programmer ID codes. Many of the ID codes were re-assigned as people came and went. Some of the codes were used by groups. The existence of a document inside a PROG code directory is not proof of authorship.

By Date: Although the SAIL computer celebrated 25 years of operation, 6 June 1966 through 7 June 1991, the DART tapes record only an 18 year span of 6,494 days. The first DART tape was written on Saturday 5 November 1972, and the last tape on Friday 17 August 1990. New files were created on 6,460 of those days.
