	I just got your note, and this formal sort of letter is the quickest way of replying to you.
I hope you get it in time.

	I am sorry to say that I rented out your old house to three Stanford students
only about ten days ago.  They dont have a lease, but it seems rather unlikely that they will
be moving away in the near future.  

	I have mentioned your predicament to several people here at the lab- Lou,
Patty and Andy.  They will be on the lookout  for possible lodgings.
