Dear Mr. Cassino:
\J
Enclosed is the Vicarm manipulator literature you recently
requested. Our price list indicates the unit quantity prices for automation
research and development applications. We are currently developing
industrialized versions of our manipulators and will be offering them during late
1977. The model M.I.T. manipulator system will sell for about $25,000 per
station in 10-20 unit quantities.
Because Vicarm manipulators are completely and continuously
computer controlled, they are ideally suited for multiple station
inspection and assembly applications.
As we use an advanced computer program, our arms are also very versatile.
They can be used on moving conveyor belts, rotary tables, in coordination
with external sensors, and with general purpose tools to do small part
assembly and inspection tasks.\.
