Several system programs look for a file named OPTION.TXT on the current
user area when run. The following is a list of the programs that use
information from the OPTION.TXT file (if it exists) in a user's area.
Refer to the associated documentation for the format and options available
for each program.

For example, assume you had an OPTION.TXT file with the lines:
LOGIN: nomail, cookie;
As a result, the LOGIN program would not ask any questions about
your mail, and would tell you your fortune. The DIRED program
would display your files in reverse chronological order, instead
of the usual /ppn/name/ext sorting.
