Professor John Birk
Department of Electrical Engineering
University of Rhode Island
Providence, R.I.

Dear Mr. Birk:

\J
Per our telephone conversation of last week, Vicarm is
pleased to quote on manufacture and delivery of the outer three
joints and the hand section of our model Stanford manipulator. The
price is $6800 for the entire assembly, wired and ready to hook to
your electronics. Delivery is 24 weeks ARO.

The enclosed information which gives specifications for
joints 4,5,6,and the hand is applicable. The entire assembly weight
is 70 oz. maximum.

As I mentioned, these joints all use potentiometer position
feedback elements. Although I am working on an optical encoder based
version of this manipulator, only the three shoulder joints are
available with encoders at the present time.

I hope this information is adequete.\.
